June Camps

Model Making (Full!)

Students who love to build and create 3D works of art won’t want to miss out on this camp!  In this fun and challenging week, students will put their creativity as well as their love of building and construction to work.  Students will learn scale modeling techniques as they construct the model of their choice.  Each student will leave with a completed scale model and the know how to continue their hobby for years to come.

Half the fun of building a model is picking one out that speaks to you!  Therefore, we will be providing all of the supplies to build and paint your model and we would like you to bring the model kit of your choice.  We ask that you choose a model that is a skill level three or four.  We recommend checking out Hobby Town USA on 84th and Harrison.  However, you can also find models at Hobby Lobby and of course on Amazon.

Clay Lab

If you love pottery, this is the camp you’ve been dreaming of! Young artists will learn to mold and sculpt using a variety of ceramic hand building techniques. Create functional vessels like bowls and cups in addition to one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces. We will be using low-fire white clay to create our masterpieces, which needs plenty of time to dry before being fired in a kiln. Once the clay has been fired it is ready to glaze and paint.  We will be having a painting party at a later date when we will paint and glaze our pieces, play games, and have pizza!  Sign up today to save your spot in this super fun art camp!

Students who have participated in a clay camp in the past are welcome to join us and advance their pottery skills even further!

*You will need to sign up for one of the painting party dates on the registration page.  After the painting party, all of the pieces will have to be fired in the kiln a second time.  I will notify you once everything is ready to be picked up.
